Who we are looking for:

The Marketing Coordinator will have a passion for marketing and enjoys taking ownership of their areas of responsibility.

They will strike a balance between the need to build solid customer relationships within the insurance industry, while building the Canstar brand and providing exposure within the client base.

Working closely with our business development team, this person must be collaborative, confident, and committed to company growth.

Other important attributes of a Marketing Coordinator are:

  • Dedicated, hardworking, enthusiastic, proactive, open minded, & considerate
  • A passion for marketing, social media management, sales, and customer service
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent research skills to identify and verify new marketing opportunities
  • Proficiency with MS Office, Social Media management and CRM software Experience running multiple social media platforms and executing brand strategy
  • A working knowledge of the property restoration business is preferred but not required

Position Overview


The Marketing Coordinator will be responsible for assisting the VP of Sales & Marketing and Partnership Marketing Manager, with building and maintaining a strong online presence through social media channels and the company website, assisting with both internal and external event planning including our marquee event (Lobsterfest), staff holiday party and sponsored industry events.

They will also assist the Marketing Department with a variety of other marketing task.


Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Social Media_
  • Grow, maintain, and optimize our online presence
  • Research audience preferences and discover current trends
  • Create engaging text, image, and video content
  • Design posts to sustain readers' curiosity and create buzz around the organization
  • Report on online reviews and feedback from customers and fans
  • Develop an optimal posting schedule, considering web traffic and customer engagement metrics
  • Oversee social media accounts' layout and suggest new ways to attract prospective customers, like promotions and competitions
  • Stay up to date with changes in all social platforms ensuring maximum effectiveness
  • Train coworkers to use social media in a cohesive and beneficial way
  • Analyze and monitor website performance on Google Search Console and Google Analytics
  • Monitor & escalate weborders issues to our webdevelopment team and IT department
  • Event Planning_
  • Organize, schedule, attend, and execute industry network and association events including Canstar's marquee event, Lobsterfest, which occurs each September
  • Marketing_
  • Assist in the planning and execution of marketing campaigns, including but not limited to developing promotional materials, sales collateral, presentations, coordinating both internal and external events, and managing social media content and platforms
  • Create awareness of the company and its services for potential customers through printed and digital ads in industry publications, published technical articles and direct mail campaigns
  • Lead NPS survey (quality questionnaire) analysis and work with internal stakeholders to address. Contact customers & clients as required
  • Determines Partner and Sponsor opportunities, developing sponsor packages and pitches,
  • Distribute, monitor, and track sponsorships and donations for company and customers
  • Maintain and organize vendor advertising invoices for marketing promotions
  • Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities and target markets

  • Ensure good housekeeping is kept performing work safely and efficiently
  • Understand safety policies and protocols
  • Ensure that self and others on site are wearing all required PPE, when required

Working Conditions:


  • Offers flexible hybrid working environment (office, client visits, home)
  • Travel within the Lower Mainland to visit Canstar branches and client offices is required (includes eastern Fraser Valley and Squamish-Pemberton Valley)
  • Must be flexible to work overtime, evenings, and weekends on occasion
