- Plan, arrange and schedule deliveries of orders
- Prepare shipping documents & verify against production copies
- Maintain accurate records of shipments
- Support other team members
- Provide informed directions and specific instructions to drivers
- Maintain professional relationships with all stakeholders via various communication channels
- Maintain contact with drivers and stay up to date with the status of each driver
- Check incoming and outgoing shipments for accuracy and damage
- Other duties as assigned by the supervisor
- Provide outstanding customer service by addressing inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally.
- Collaborate with team members to address logistics challenges and improve operational efficiency.
- Inspect loads for accuracy before the drivers' departure to ensure all items are accounted for and in proper condition.
Requirements:
- Minimum two years of dispatching experience preferred
- Excellent communication and planning skills
- Strong organizational and problemsolving skills
- A positive attitude and the ability to work independently
- Strong computer skills
- Excel and Outlook knowledge is a must
- Punctual and reliable
- Strong attention to details
- Ability to multitask
- Flexible and willing to take on new tasks
- Familiarity with the Lower Mainland, BC, area
- Ability to work in a fastpaced and dynamic environment
