Summary


Responsibilities:


  • Facilitate discovery workshops to gain client business concepts, requirements, and alignment
  • Define goals and create/convey the vision for projects while aligning with client business objectives which translates to a roadmap for execution
  • Own the product backlog by working continuously with our clients to drive prioritization and identify dependencies that drive the development sequence
  • Effectively negotiate priority of our client's needs across our portfolio of work
  • Oversee development stages by planning, refining, and reviewing all items in the sprint
  • Learn the client's business processes and anticipate their needs
  • Act as primary liaison and facilitate "buyin" from stakeholders on all major decisions and strategy resulting in clear instructions and deliverables for developers
  • Evaluate product progress at each iteration and determine the forward direction
  • Stay current with new and forthcoming ServiceNow features/capabilities through ServiceNow training, SNUGs, webinars, etc.
  • Manage Business Analyst capacity and demand based on current and forecasted activities and deliverables
  • Author enduser stories as needed
  • Lead, coach, and mentor team members
Qualifications

  • Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • 35 years of ServiceNow experience in the areas of ServiceNow including ServiceNow Administrator certification
  • Experience as a business analyst or systems analyst supporting the implementation and ongoing administrative support for ServiceNow Modules
  • 5 years of people and client management experience in a consultative environment
  • 3 years of experience with Agile methods such as Scrum and SAFe
  • Significant business analysis or systems analysis experience working in both the business and IT environment
  • Significant professional experience as a business analyst for an enterprise ITIL/ITSM platform
  • Experience defining business problems, creating business strategies, or identifying business opportunities
  • Proven experience with business and technical requirements analysis, business process modeling/mapping, and development methodology
  • Knowledge of and experience with ITIL/ITSM principles and concepts
  • Experience conducting facilitated workshops for requirements analysis
  • Strong experience managing a remote team
  • Strong experience working with clients remotely
  • Advanced proficiency with user story definition, acceptance criteria writing in addition to facilitating effective refinement sessions
  • Proven experience managing product backlogs
  • Ability to help clients with strategic vision definition and alignment
  • Must be curious to learn client's business quickly
  • Must be willing to travel up to 20%
  • Excellent written communication skills. Polished verbal communication skills
  • Familiar with overall IT concepts, practices, and procedures
  • Excellent analytical and creative problemsolving skills
  • Ability to communicate and translate requirements between technical and business teams
  • Proficient in analyzing complex workflow processes and procedures
  • Willingness to observe and analyze patterns, trends, and correlations in Higher Education, technology, and business practices, and (re)train as necessary to remain current in modern IT service management and business analysis best practices, frameworks, standards, and methodologies
Preferred Qualifications

  • ITIL Foundation Certification
  • Product Owner certification is strongly desired
  • IIBAcertified Business Analyst certification
  • Knowledge of project management and business analysis methodology and software
  • Familiar with complementary IT service management frameworks, such as project management, business analysis, LeanIT, COBIT, DevOps, and Cloud Computing
Minimum Education and Experience

  • BA/BS degree in related field; or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
  • Requires a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
