The Category Associate will support the Product Management team in ongoing maintenance and optimization of the portfolio.

They will use their analytical, problem solving and time management skills to help us create a broad picture of our existing markets, customers, competition, and expansion efforts for new and existing products and services.

We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join our team, focused on delivering exceptional results to support product development, category management and long-term business planning initiatives.


In this role you will:


  • Profile competitors, their products, and services.
  • Enforce and communicate the Glen Dimplex Americas Minimum Advertised Pricing (MAP) policy to internal and external customers.
  • Conduct monthly market intelligence data gathering and reporting. This includes the identification of potential business risks/opportunities and new market expansion opportunities.
  • Support the development of internal and external training material. This includes line review preparation, developing product training content and leading product knowledge sessions for internal and external teams as required.
  • Support the Category Managers with the organization of project status updates, RP/Finished Good pricing, samples requests, risk reporting and day to day administrative activities as required.
  • Support the evaluation of the North American product offering as required, ensuring our products and services meet customers' ongoing needs.
  • Liaise with Marketing and Engineering to ensure the accuracy and completeness of market facing Product content and specification documentation.
  • Identify product marketing opportunities based on industry reports, market environment and competitive trends.

What you need:


  • Business diploma or equivalent experience.
  • 1year relevant experience in business, marketing, or related field.
  • Proven ability to work independently in a fastpaced environment.
  • A self starter
  • Able to manage competing priorities on multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Creative problemsolving skills with a passion for uncovering opportunities
