Description

Our new cabinet shop is looking to add a cabinet maker to our growing team. Located in a great location for anyone living around the city of Ottawa.

Duties:

Construct and assemble cabinets according to specifications
Measure, cut, and shape wood and other materials
Install cabinets in residential and commercial settings
Caulk and seal cabinets to ensure a finished appearance
Repair and restore existing cabinets in the remodeling and restoration industry
Interpret schematics and blueprints to guide cabinet construction

Requirements:

Proven experience as a cabinet maker or similar role in the construction industry
Proficient in using various tools and equipment common to cabinet making, such as saws, drills, sanders, etc.
Knowledge of different types of wood and their characteristics
Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings
Strong attention to detail and precision in measurements and craftsmanship
Excellent problemsolving skills to troubleshoot issues during construction or installation
Ability to work independently or as part of a team
Physical stamina to stand for long periods of time and lift heavy materials
