Maintenance Lead


Reporting To:
Facility Manager


Core Purpose of Job:

Troubleshoot, repair, replace and install any component of the Facility's HVAC equipment including but not limited to chillers, boilers, colling towers, heat pump, VFD.


Scope of Duties & Responsibilities:


  • Lead summercooling and winterheating changeovers.
  • Maintain mechanical tools and test equipment
  • Read and interpret as built drawings and provide repair and adjustments to the mechanical systems
  • Troubleshoot, repair or replace a wide range of HVAC equipment including chiller, boiler, cooling tower, heat pump, VFD, heat exchangers, condensers
  • Make recommendation based on the Planned Preventive Maintenance programs
  • Maintain records and information pertinent to work assignment;
  • Run diagnosis for BAS and DDC devices
  • Perform all other related tasks as assigned by Facility Manager and/or other senior management

Essential Requirements:


  • 5+ years of work experience in facility maintenance or operations and sound technical knowledge regarding mechanical systems
  • Refrigeration Red Seal Certification
  • G1/G2 Gas Certification.
  • Working knowledge in BAS and CMMS (preferably Archibus)
  • Able to read and interpret drawings, circuit diagrams and code specifications.
  • Possess a Province of Ontario driver's license in good standing.
  • Computer literacy including MS word, BAS and CMMS
  • Ability to meet security clearance requirement
  • Strong customer service, communication skills
  • Able to work independently with mínimal direction and able to respond to emergency situations
  • Strong time management skills and ability to prioritize work in order to deliver successful results within agreed timeframes
  • Able to foster a culture of continuous improvement and customer service excellence within the service delivery team.
  • Able to work in various hours and shifts, to be able to travel across assigned portfolios using company vehicles.
