Process Owner, Group Insurance Operations - Mississauga, Canada - Royal Bank of Canada

Join the new Operational Excellence team in Insurance as a leader, overseeing and managing all business processes related to Group New Business, Underwriting, and Client Services. Your role is crucial in ensuring efficiency, quality, and continuous improvement.
Lead a small team and collaborate with key partners within the Client Acquisition & Service team and across Insurance to achieve operational excellence. Your action-oriented mindset, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills will drive continuous improvement in client and employee experience, increase efficiency, and reduce waste in Group New Business, Underwriting, and Client Services.
- Drive continuous process improvement to meet efficiency targets for Operational Excellence
- Identify process gaps, analyze business benefits, and execute opportunities to enhance process efficiencies and improve client and employee experience
- Maintain understanding of baseline performance metrics and collaborate to achieve performance goals
- Create and maintain detailed process documentation and oversee implementation of process changes for Group
- Provide direction on process impacts to strategic partners and assist in implementing new initiatives
- Collaborate with key partners to ensure alignment on goals and drive success in Achieving Operational Excellence
- Coach team towards transformational thinking and high performance
Must-have
- Postsecondary education
- 7-10 years of leadership experience in operations, process design/management, or strategic business implementation
- Growth mindset, bias for action, and focus on continuous improvement
- Proven track record of driving change through problem solving and influence
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
- Masters Degree (MBA)
- Lean Six Sigma Training and Certification
- Client-facing operations experience
- Technology/systems experience in Operations
