Job Description:
- Manages all aspects of assigned projects, including development of fullscale project plans, schedules, progress, budget, risk management, issue management, resource management, quality review/best practices and evaluation framework
- Directs daily project activities, effectively communicates project expectations, and coordinates the work of the members of the project team to ensure activities meet or exceed needs and expectations
- Develops, tracks and maintains project documentation during all stages of the project lifecycle
- Proactively identifies and manages changes to project scope and develops contingency plans as required
- Supports the leadership team in conducting stakeholder meetings and forums in order to solicit feedback, input, and expectations, and incorporates recommendations into project plans
- Champions a codesign approach to ensure the voices of clients, families, frontline staff, and partners drive projects from conception to completion
- Provides regular updates to the leadership and other stakeholders as required through project reports, presentations
Qualifications:
- An undergraduate degree in Information Technology, Computer Sciences, Engineering, Health Care/ Informatics, or Business Administration coupled with three to five years' experience in a project management role in a health services environment
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is an asset
- Must have knowledge of Project Management methodologies and the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK)
- Conversant in various tools for project management, project planning, and time tracking, e.g., Primavera, MS Project, MS Excel, MS Visio, WBS Pro and Eclipse
- Experience with Agile and Lean methodologies is an asset
- Proven ability to lead, plan, implement, and manage projects and initiatives in a healthcare setting
