About the Role
We are seeking a Shipper/Receiver to join our team at our Woodbridge facility.

Oversees and keeps records of all shipping and receiving and are responsible for organizing, sorting, and transferring goods from one location to another.

Reports to Materials Manager.


Core Responsibilities

  • Receive shipping document from Material Manager, match them with "ready to ship" list which is given to him/her by supervisor, prepare shipping documents and ship finish goods according to customer requirements and due date.
  • Maintain all customer packaging and shipping requirements which controlled by quality department and make sure all finish goods are packed and shipped according to customer requirements.
  • Receive semi finish goods from machine shop, check quantity and quality of parts, issue Purchase Order for service subcontractor i.e. plating and ship parts to them.
  • Perform forklift, pump truck and any other means of transportation to move parts inside and outside of plant as required.
  • Follow the receiving procedure in counting all incoming parts, stamp and sign vendors' shipping document, inspect the quality of incoming goods as per their drawings and distribute parts to appropriate locations.
  • Make sure all parts and/or containers have appropriate labels and are in the right place at all times.
  • Cycle count when required by Material Manager.
  • Quarantine out of spec incoming parts and report them to supervisor.
  • Help assembling parts as needed.
  • Drive small pickup truck to pick up and deliver parts to suppliers as needed (10% of the time)
  • Kit WO to Assembly team
  • Any other duties as required.

Requirements:


  • 2 or more years' experience in a similar position
  • Class G license with a good driving record
  • Certification for Lift Truck Operation
  • Previous industry experience would be an asset
  • Solid knowledge of ISO procedures
  • Excellent oral and written communication in English
  • Experienced with various courier software programs
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Well organized with an exceptional attention to detail
  • Ability to thrive in a fastpaced environment
  • Ability to meet deadlines
  • Demonstrated willingness to learn and take on new responsibilities
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs
