Job Summary

:

We are looking to hire an enthusiastic and hardworking junior quality technician with a good eye for detail.

Who will be responsible for performing standardized quality control checks on our company products to ensure they meet the required legal and company standards for safety and quality.

Who may also be required to maintain calibrated test equipment, prepare test data, and identify areas for quality control improvement.

Duties/ Responsibilities

:

Write Quality Control Testing Reports and conduct lab correlation with Quality Assurance agency for test procedures

You are completely familiar with specific testing procedures

Understanding of project survey requirements and project lay out

:

Develop understanding of test procedures and specifications for aggregate properties, subbase field density, sub grade soil characteristics and field density, ready mix, asphalt concrete pavement. Junior tech will only conduct and report tests for which they are fully versed

Maintenance, reporting of incidents, reporting of non working condition and proper operation of all equipment associated testing & engineering

Training of staff not familiar with test procedures for which you have been trained

Respect will be shown to all contractors' representatives, owner representatives and fellow employees

Ensures that all operations are performed with the utmost regard for the safety and health of all personnel involved in the project

Skills

:

Computer skills especially in the use Microsoft Word and PowerPoint and ability to manage files and records effectively
Thorough understanding of methods and processes involved in manufacturing/construction.
Excellent interpersonal and good communication skills which include the ability to teach and explain methodologies
Well skilled in quality processes and also statistical techniques
Knowledge about measurement and test equipment
Ability to work well in a team
Knowledge of relevant legislation and quality control standards
Ability to interpret instructions whether written, spoken, or in a diagram
Possess problemsolving skills
Indepth understanding of chemical composition, structure, and properties of different substances and the understanding of chemical interactions.
