Please note this position is not eligible for a relocation subsidy or living out allowance. This will be a camp position on a 14 day on 7 days off rotation.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Implementation of AWP-WFP and champion. Overview with supervisors of adherence to the program and conduct of verification and validation.
Liaise and coordinate with external OEM/vendors/technician representative(s).
Liaise and coordinate with HBJV Field Engineering, Site Material Management, Contracts, Project Controls, Quality, HSE, Common Services and Commissioning.
Assists superintendents in daytoday planning and execution of various scopes of work within varying phases of construction.
In collaboration with site contractors and the project controls team, confirm schedule adherence, validate forecasts with supervisors.
Validate progress with supervisor and site contractors, compare QURR to physical progress in the field. Perform variance review and review forecast with supervisors. Update relevant project tracking databases.
Coordinate schedule input with Project Controls.
Participates in the review, monitoring, and communication of changes for SIMOPs (simultaneous operations).
Validate the material report with the site material team and ensure that the material supplied by the site contractor is visible through the selected project tool.
In collaboration with superintendents and Field Engineering representatives, identify actual or potential field changes. Ensure directives are clear, concise, and communicated timely. Ensure that all stakeholders involved completely understand what is relevant. Ensure no work undertaken before management review and approve.
Initiate requests for variation proposals (RVP) when needed and support Contracts team by providing timely input for proposed changes. Collect execution field notes from superintendents, share information.
Contribute to sitewide traffic management planning (including onsite heavy haul coordination), management of temporary infrastructure.
Attend field inspections with superintendents and Field Engineering representatives.
Participate in the HSE Field Leadership program.
Compile daily progress and compare to ensure adherence to the 3 weeks lookahead schedule. Keep and maintain proper records during project execution.

Qualifications:

Easily build relationships with others and boost their spirit productively.
Be familiar with heavy industrial construction
SMPEI (Structural, Mechanical, Piping, Electrical, Instrumentation).
Engineering degree or equivalent combinations of technical training plus 5 to 10 years of experience.
Working knowledge of construction equipment and techniques, drawings, and specifications, building materials, and required standards applicable to discipline.
Working knowledge of 3D model.
Previous experience of Advanced Work Packaging (AWP) and WorkFace Planning (WFP).
Ability to assume responsibility and to interface and communicate effectively with others.
Effective oral and written communication skills and ability to represent the company and project team in a professional manner.

Preferred Qualifications / Training:

Working knowledge of SmartPlant Review (3D model) and SmartPlant Foundation.
Previous experience of Quantity Take Offs and estimating.
Previous experience of working with Smart Completions would be considered an asset.
Engineering or EIT Registered would be considered an asset.
