The Manitoba Securities Commission, a division of the Manitoba Financial Services Agency, is seeking to fill the vacancy of position of Communications Coordinator.
The Manitoba Securities Commission acts in the public interest to protect Manitoba consumers of financial products (investments, real estate, insurance, credit unions and pensions) while facilitating fair and efficient markets in Manitoba's financial services sector.
Conditions of Employment:
- Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
- Must have a valid Class 5 driver's licence.
- Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs.
- Minimal Travel within Canada and the United States
Qualifications:
Essential:
- Undergraduate degree in Business Administration with a focus on communications or a Diploma in Public Relations, Marketing Management Diploma or Creative Communications or combinations of related education and experience will be considered.
- Experience using social and mainstream media
- Strong written communication skills with the ability to compose a variety of documents, brochures, reports, web and social content.
- Strong verbal communication skills including the ability to communicate clearly and concisely
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to act diplomatically and work collaboratively with others
- Experience in media and public relations.
- Experience in marketing
- Design experience including material development both written and electronic including; brochures, reports and content for websites
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to work under pressure and meet competing deadlines.
Desired:
- Experience leading or participating on a committee
Duties:
This position reports to the Manager, Education and Communication.
The incumbent is responsible for developing and coordinating all aspects of communications for the Manitoba Financial Services Agency, supports the development and delivery of a wide variety of educational programs and provides ongoing administrative support.
