As a group, we process over 580,000 tonnes of residential organic waste annually and have built over 150 waste treatment facilities worldwide.

Our operations encompass 11 organic waste processing facilities in Canada and 2 in the United States, including our recently acquired Manassas, Virginia facility.


Your Mission:

As a Maintenance Technician, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of our plant equipment. Your expertise will be vital in maintaining, repairing, troubleshooting, and installing equipment to keep our operations running efficiently.


Here's what an ordinary day of work might look like:

  • Dive into a variety of tasks, from proactive maintenance to troubleshooting, ensuring our plant equipment is always at its best.
  • Conduct Daily and Weekly Inspections, ensuring our processes run smoothly and efficiently.
  • Collaborate with contractors, providing them with technical support to keep our operations seamless.
  • Utilize SCADA to finetune and test equipment, ensuring optimal performance.
  • Actively contribute to the procurement process, ensuring we have the right tools and parts on hand when needed.
  • Offer valuable technical support and insights to our Operators and Management team.
  • Showcase your skills in welding and metal work and get handson with manufacturing and building items as required.
  • Participate in oncall rotations to swiftly respond to emergencies, ensuring uninterrupted operations during and after hours.
  • Take on exciting and diverse tasks as assigned, contributing to the dynamic nature of our team.

This job is for you if:

  • You hold a High School diploma or equivalent.
  • You have a minimum of two years of experience in mechanical maintenance.
  • You can perform welding and metal work.
  • You know provincial legislation and regulations including the Occupational Health and Safety Act (e.g., Confined Space Entry, Working at Heights, First Aid, etc.).
  • Experience with shredders, screening lines, electric motors, frontend loaders, and small engines would be an asset.
  • Instrumentation experience is an asset.
  • You hold a valid Driver's License it is a requirement.
