About the Role:


You support your Store Manager in leading your team by example and promoting a first-class, inclusive working environment built on mutual respect, positive reinforcement, and effective communication.


You proactively balance time between managing the sales floor, engaging with consumers, and overseeing and participating in the execution of inventory-related tasks.


You aid your Store Manager in keeping your team focused and motivated by communicating clear and concise common goals to produce outstanding business results.

You take the initiative in supporting the onboarding, training, and development process of newly hired employees.

You meet and maintain all company policies and procedures and dutifully communicate any infractions to your Store Manager.


You support in strategically planning and scheduling your team and process employee changes appropriately to ensure timely and accurate pay for your team.


You are responsible for overseeing and executing daily, weekly, and monthly task-oriented processes in the absence of your Store Manager.

You support in facilitating developmental training sessions, staff meetings and performance check-ins with your team.


You support your Store Manager in overseeing all operations pertaining to the inventory management process, including leading, participating, and delegating inventory-related tasks such as receiving, processing, and organizing incoming/outgoing shipments and transfers.


You are responsible for ensuring that inventory levels are accurate by proactively investigating and reporting all inventory-related variances and discrepancies to your Inventory Controller and Store Manager.


You support in the managing and monitoring of loss prevention by actively overseeing the sales floor, inventory levels and Point-of-Sale system, and dutifully report any potential shrinkage and/or irregularities to your Store Manager.


You aid in the overseeing and execution of store-supply audits to ensure that your store remains adequately stocked with necessary supplies.

You participate in the preparation and execution of quarterly inventory audits in partnership with your Store Manager.


You possess and maintain a thorough understanding of your store's business and demonstrate the ability to engage in daily sales reports by utilizing KPIs and consumer feedback as tools to drive the business forward.

You ensure your store meets and maintains consistency with our expected in-store presentation to promote a consistent brand experience.


You work in partnership with your Store Manager to actively monitor your store's foot traffic capacity and establish, manage, and maintain queues outside your store when necessary.

In addition to your role as Assistant Store Manager, you perform/complete other additional projects, duties, and assignments as required.


Must Haves:

You possess exemplary people skills and are passionate about delivering an outstanding customer experience.

You have experience with leading a retail sales floor and maintaining day-to-day retail operational and inventory-related procedures.

You are capable of lifting, packing and unpacking boxes that range from lbs.

You take pride in your sense of personal style and have an eye for visual design, trends, and initiatives.


You possess strong interpersonal and communicative skills and demonstrate the ability to lead and inspire your team members to reach common goals.


Qualifications:

Minimum 1 year of managerial experience in a comparable, high-volume retail environment.

High school diploma or GED; completion of post-secondary education will be considered an asset.

You are proficient in using Microsoft Office. (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.)


You possess and maintain the availability to work a 40-hour workweek (5 days) that includes weekends, evenings and holidays as needed.
