We are seeking an
Analytics Student for our
North American Headquarters district in
Edmonton, Alberta, that is available for
8 months starting in
September 2024.
Analytics Student and depending on your assigned project, you will have the opportunity to contribute to our team by:
- Develops and maintains reports and dashboards.
- Translates business needs into production reports and dashboards.
- Acquires data from a variety of structured and unstructured data sources.
- Provides technical support and assistance to report and dashboard consumers.
- Creates and maintain process and system documentation.
- Participates in advanced analytics projects.
- Liaises with business, technology, and support teams to ensure business requirements are met.
- Identifies and suggests improvements to existing solutions and processes.
- Performs quality assurance and system testing.
What you will bring to the role:
- Currently enrolled in a computing science, computer engineering or information management related program.
- Keen interest in data management as it applies to business intelligence and analytics.
- Ability to quickly gain proficiency in new software.
- Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI is preferred.
- Experience with relational databases and SQL is preferred but not required.
- Experience with programming languages such as Python and C# is preferred but not required.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Excellent problemsolving skills
- Ability to work in a fastpaced environment, be flexible, stay organized, and maintain attention to detail and accuracy.
