Description

If a applicant applies that is not a qualified in the duties below, they will start as a "Labourer earning $19.64 per hour and within 3 months will be earning $24.70 per hour.

Duties

Prepare hoses / pumps and transfer finished product from reactor to hold tank and from hold tank to storage tank
Filter finished product into containers or tankers
Obtain empty containers and prepare for filling
Filter finished product in containers
Weigh and label containers once filled
Prepare labels for finished product
Place filled and labelled containers in staging area
Drum off vent / blow off tank
Transfer caustic wash from tanks to reactors and back again
Off load bulk monomer into storage tanks
Clean and maintain department
To prepare disposable totes for filling when needed

Any other responsibilities which may from time to time be required

Training Requirements (once in position):

Ÿ T.D.G.

Ÿ WHMIS
Ÿ Forklift Operations (Propane Handling)

Ÿ Workplace Violence and Harassment Awareness Training

Ÿ Emergency Procedures

Ÿ Job Specific

Ÿ Storage Tank Monitoring (tank level/board)

Ÿ Handling Operations (Filter Operations):
Ÿ Tank to tank

Ÿ Tank to Tanker (Tanker Inspection)

Ÿ Tank to Container (Drum Inspection)

Ÿ Handling Operations:
Bulk off-loading

Ÿ Hazardous Waste Management

Ÿ Flammable Liquid Handling
Any other responsibilities which may from time to time be required

Successful applicants will be required to trained as a Chemical Operator (Batch maker) if there is no successful applicants in those future vacancies or production requires.

Salary:
$24.70 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
