Tube Preparation

  • Starts at $30.12/hour and is expected to progress (3 steps) to fully qualified rate of: $35.43/hr._


We have opportunities (10 openings) for you to join our production team as a Tube Preparation at our facility in
Cambridge, Ontario.

PRIMARY FUNCTION:
To perform all tube preparation and bending functions.


Tasks:


  • Read and understand applicable documents and checkoff sheets. Develop floor layout; check floor layout; setup, plan and organize bending process; identify and verify work piece material.
  • Layout work piece using shop drawings, load work piece; bend work piece.
  • Remove work piece; perform layout check; perform adjustment procedures; recheck to layout.
  • Demonstrate good workmanship and practices.
  • Communicate effectively with internal team members (i.e. peers, production leadership, Project Management, Engineering) as well as customer representatives.
  • Work in a safe manner, complying with all health, safety and environmental guidelines/regulations.
  • Understand and adhere to quality requirements and productivity expectations.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Proven commitment to workplace safety.
  • Previous experience in a heavy manufacturing environment would be a definite asset.
  • Fitting knowledge is a definite asset.
  • Intermediate level understanding of blueprint reading.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform mathematical calculations in relation to positional dimensions for products and tooling.
  • Proficient with computer software.
  • Commitment to quality and the ability to work as a positive and effective team member, willing to go the extra mile to ensure we meet our customer expectations.
  • Must be willing to be assigned to any of the following shifts:
  • Days: 6:00 am to 4:00 pm. (Mon
  • Thurs)
  • Afternoons: 4:00 p.m. 2:00 a.m. (Mon
  • Thurs)
  • Weekend days: 6:00 a.m. 5:00 p.m. (Fri, Sat, Sun; paid for 40 hours)
  • Weekend nights: 5:00 p.m. 4:00 a.m. (Fri, Sat, Sun; paid for 40 hours)

PLEASE NOTE:
The successful incumbents will need to be available for all shifts for training purposes.
