Tube Preparation

Starts at $30.12/hour and is expected to progress (3 steps) to fully qualified rate of: $35.43/hr._

We have opportunities (10 openings) for you to join our production team as a Tube Preparation at our facility in
Cambridge, Ontario.

PRIMARY FUNCTION:
To perform all tube preparation and bending functions.

Tasks:

Read and understand applicable documents and checkoff sheets. Develop floor layout; check floor layout; setup, plan and organize bending process; identify and verify work piece material.
Layout work piece using shop drawings, load work piece; bend work piece.
Remove work piece; perform layout check; perform adjustment procedures; recheck to layout.
Demonstrate good workmanship and practices.
Communicate effectively with internal team members (i.e. peers, production leadership, Project Management, Engineering) as well as customer representatives.
Work in a safe manner, complying with all health, safety and environmental guidelines/regulations.
Understand and adhere to quality requirements and productivity expectations.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Proven commitment to workplace safety.
Previous experience in a heavy manufacturing environment would be a definite asset.
Fitting knowledge is a definite asset.
Intermediate level understanding of blueprint reading.
Demonstrated ability to perform mathematical calculations in relation to positional dimensions for products and tooling.
Proficient with computer software.
Commitment to quality and the ability to work as a positive and effective team member, willing to go the extra mile to ensure we meet our customer expectations.
Must be willing to be assigned to any of the following shifts:
Days: 6:00 am to 4:00 pm. (Mon
Thurs)
Afternoons: 4:00 p.m. 2:00 a.m. (Mon
Thurs)
Weekend days: 6:00 a.m. 5:00 p.m. (Fri, Sat, Sun; paid for 40 hours)
Weekend nights: 5:00 p.m. 4:00 a.m. (Fri, Sat, Sun; paid for 40 hours)

PLEASE NOTE:
The successful incumbents will need to be available for all shifts for training purposes.
