  • Job SummaryThe
    Ministry of Social Development and Poverty Reduction (MSDPR) through the
    WorkBC program delivers an integrated system of employment supports and services to all British Columbians who seek labour market attachment and are eligible to work in British Columbia. The purpose of the Program is to support clients in achieving and sustaining employment and community attachment.


Through the
WorkBC Employment Services program, we help those in need find and maintain employment, we work with our contracted service providers to offer job search resources, employment planning, skills assessment, training, work experience placement and more.

Community and Employer Partnerships (CEP) is a component of WorkBC Employment Services. The
Employment and Labour Market Services Division is responsible for administering the CEP Fund for SDPR.

The fund consists of the following streams:
Job Creation Partnership, Labour Market Partnership, Project Based Labour Market Training, and Research and Innovation.


The
Contract and Partnership Agent is responsible for the service delivery of the WorkBC program within communities or the service delivery of the CEP component of the program.

The position evaluates the effectiveness of contract agents and service provider performance contracts, makes independent decisions based on Program legislation, policy and procedures to ensure consistency and verify diligence amongst program contracts.


Job Requirements:


  • Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Public Administration or Commerce or a related field;
    OR:
  • An equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered.
  • A minimum of six (6) months experience or more demonstrated experience establishing and maintaining collaborative working relationships within a project team and/or communities.
Preference may be given to applicants with the following:

  • Six (6) months or more demonstrated experience; providing leadership and working collaboratively with teams and developing and leading team success.
  • Six (6) months or more demonstrated experience in contract management, change management or business improvement initiatives and/or related projects.

IMPORTANT:
Travel is a requirement of this position.

A valid BC driver's license is required.**
About this Position:This position can be based in any Ministry of Social Development office.

The locations listed above are to assist applicants in searching for this opportunity and are not a complete list of locations.

Flexible work options are available; this position may be able to work from home a few days a week as per the Telework Agreement.

An eligibility list may be established for future permanent and / or temporary opportunities. Currently we have four (4) permanent positions.
