Responsibilities:


  • Participate in the development of architectural design of new features and enhancements pertaining to IP Network, Voice Network & SIP Peering
  • Develop and produce Engineering Design & Planning Specifications for IP Network, Voice Network & SIP Peering to plan for and support the defined services, to augment Network capacity or to deliver changes to Network architecture
  • Represent the department by coordinating with peer departments such as Product Development, other planning groups, Implementation, IT, and Network Operations to ensure effective planning and efficient implementation and handover between departments
  • Participate and contribute to the development of the 35 year Capital spending roadmap and evolution for IP Network, Voice Network & SIP Peering.
  • Produce clear, wellcrafted project plans with specified tasks, milestones, and effort required against the desired service introduction and/or modifications to existing Networks (IP Network, Voice Network & SIP Peering)
  • Accurately determine capital and operating expenses, and obtain required approval for budget funding. Manage spending to budget and manage cost overrun issues pertaining to IP Network, Voice Network & SIP Peering.
  • Provide regular project status and issues for escalation to drive project completion timelines
  • Deliver feature enhancements to Port Inventory Database, Trunk Manager and other Planning databases from time to time leveraging coding and scripting skills
  • Lead and deliver Network automation initiatives required from Planning standpoint
  • Provide support on automating traffic reports and dashboards

Qualifications:


  • University degree in the area of telecommunications or computer networks
  • Masters degree in the area of telecommunications or computer networks is preferred
  • Min 5+ years of progressive Network Engineering or Planning experience in IP Networks, Voice Networks, SIP Telephony infrastructure, Wireless Networks, Data Center
  • Demonstrated strong understanding of IP Networks, Voice Networks, Optical Networks and Wireless Networks
  • Strong analytical skills along with verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to adapt quickly to change to meet business needs
  • Strong interpersonal skills to effectively drive large network programs
  • Cisco CCNA / CCIE certification (Routing & Switching) or equivalent will be preferred
  • Knowledge of Visio and Think-Cell
  • Knowledge and experience with Data Visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau
  • Programming skills C C++ Java Python
  • Knowledge and experience with MySQL is desired
