Description

We are growing our team and are looking for a Health & Safety and Human Resources Specialist with manufacturing experience to join our team to support our green ammonia production project.

If you are passionate about human resources, safety, and well-being; looking to grow and advance your career and find opportunities and situations that challenge your skills and perspective, we want to hear from you

Who WE are:

FuelPositive is a Canadian-based, clean technology company, working to fight climate change by creating and developing practical, clean, and sustainable carbon-free solutions that can be implemented economically now.

Above all, we believe in being kind - to the earth, to each other, and to ourselves. We believe that being kind will pay dividends for us all. It's all about Fuel for a Mindful World.

What WE make:

Our lead product, an onsite, containerized Green Ammonia production system that is modular and scalable, will revolutionize clean energy through a patent-pending, first-of-its-kind technology invented in Canada.

The system takes air, water and a sustainable electricity source to produce green anhydrous ammonia with no carbon emissions. Adoption will dramatically support global targets to reduce CO2 emissions.

And our decentralized, in situ approach will bring supply chain independence to our first customers - farmers - for the first time.

If you want to make a Positive impact, be relevant and make a change, join our team, and become a part of the solution

What YOU will do:

Reporting to the Sr.

HR Manager, you will be accountable for auditing, implementing and monitoring processes and practices to achieve a safe and healthy work environment.

This includes acting as a Subject Matter Expert in providing health and safety advice to facilitate compliance with FuelPositive's H&S requirements, occupational health and safety legislation, guidelines, and standards.

You will take a proactive approach (boots on the floor) with daily walks though the offices and R&D facilities for inspections of all work areas.

You will lead the management of all JHSC activities, workplace inspections, and identifying hazards, as well as assist with WSIB claims and modified work requirements as part of the Early and Safe Return to Work (ESRTW) process.

You will be responsible for the development and maintenance of environmental health and safety policies and procedures including the H&S Handbook.

You will also support the Sr. HR Manager by driving HR-related initiatives, so if you have the willingness to pitch in across all facets of the department, we want to hear from you

Who YOU are:

You've seen our values, and they resonate with you.

You are passionate about participating in creating solutions to climate change and understand the role our systems play in making a positive impact on the world's fertilizer demands and food shortage issues.

You have a Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Human Resources in addition to a certificate from an accredited Occupational Health and Safety certification program or similar.

You have a minimum of three to five years of working experience in the health and safety field within a manufacturing environment and are knowledgeable of the Occupational Health and Safety Act and associated regulations, Ontario Building and Fire Codes, and Workplace Safety Insurance Act.

In addition to being an expert in health and safety, you also have experience working in an HR Generalist capacity.

You consider yourself an avid researcher who is skilled at analyzing and presenting health and safety information to formulate and prepare written documents, policies, reports, and other technical resources.

Must successfully meet the Company pre-employment provision of a Background Check.

Why you will love US:

We are a team in the truest sense of the word.

As a group, we are looking to make a positive impact in our world and are excited to have others join us.

Each person we invite to join the team shares our values and will be able to provide specific skills to guide us in achieving our mission.
