Position Purpose and Summary


The Global Engagement Office (GEO) intern will support the development of a new service-learning hub incorporating our current Local Outreach and Global Outreach (LOGO) programs under one umbrella.

The intern will work closely with the Director of Global Engagement and the Assistant Director (AD) of LOGO in the development of vision, strategy, and implementation of the new area.

They will support in administrative and logístical details related to the new programming.

This position will also provide support to current and emerging outreach initiatives, including the mentoring, training, and support of student leaders and training team participants.

Key Areas of Accountability

Specific

  • Assist with the evaluation and continuous development of the LOGO programs.
  • Assist with the continuous development of the vision and strategy for the servicelearning hub.
  • Design efficient infrastructure and procedures for the servicelearning hub.
  • Support AD and student teams to recruit, coordinate, and plan current and emerging LOGO projects, initiatives, and related events.
  • Assist with training student leaders and program teams/participants through mentoring, workshops, and related training of the various teams.
General

  • Support the daily operations of the AD and programs of LOGO.
  • Supports the Assistant Director and the programs for Intercultural Programs and Services, and the Director of GEO on special projects.
  • Support GEO staff and serve as a team player on the Global Engagement Team.
  • Supports with the larger Student Life and TWU engagement.

outreach, interpersonal relationships, cultural awareness and sensitivity and good knowledge of missions, outreach, and evangelism.

Standards & Requirements


Education:
Bachelor's Degree in related field required


Experience:
At least one year of leadership in a Christian ministry or significant involvement in student leadership required. Previous ministry to university students in missions, outreach or evangelism preferred.
