SUMMARY
Manual assembly of electronic components including complex and accurate parts according to assembly procedures, custom specifications, and quality standards. This position reports to the Production Supervisor in the Manual Department.


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform hand soldering and test, mixed assemblies and custom part
  • Component preparation, placement and installation
  • Final assembly and/or pack and ship as required
  • Mechanical assembly as required
  • Conduct repair/touch up/modifications on the products as required
  • Be able to work on different aspects of the manufacturing operations
  • Participate in training and certification programs to ensure job knowledge and skills set
  • Participate in all team level quality improvement initiatives, 5s, and safety procedures
  • Other duties as required

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment
  • Knowledge of standards in electronic components handling preferred
  • Familiar with Lean principles would be an asset
  • Hands on manufacturing skills such as manual soldering is required
  • Basic Excel experience is required
  • Strong communication skills and a team player
  • Good work habits and housekeeping

LOCATION

  • The position location is based in Markham, Ontario facilities (Building A and/or Building B)
  • Incumbent must be open to working at both facilities as business and operational needs dictate

WORK HOURS

  • Normal scheduled hours of work: 3:00 PM 12:00 AM, Afternoon Shift
