Description
An integral and vital part of our dealership obtaining complete customer satisfaction is the timely sale of heavy duty commercial truck parts to our customers.
Accountabilities:
This position is responsible for the sale of all makes heavy duty commercial truck parts and accessories to existing and prospective customers and is responsible for the following:
- Following all policies and procedures as outlined by management
- Answering and making sales calls as needed.
- Evaluate and recommend parts required based on customer information.
- Look up and locate parts in inventory or order parts from suppliers as per policies.
- Generating quotes and completing orders as per customer requests.
- Negotiating key sales issues and handling objections as required.
- Assisting customers post sale with any warranty and/or service needs.
- Maintains a professional appearance and a safe, clean work environment.
- Explain warranty coverage to customers (as applicable).
- Assist with interbranch transfers.
- Assists other staff in the department as needed.
- Previous experience in the Medium / Heavy Duty truck, automotive industry.
- High degree of product and technical knowledge.
- Must be a team player with a strong sense of commitment to the customer.
- Must be self starter and motivated to sell.
- Must possess good written and verbal communication skills.
- Must be able to handle competing priorities and meet deadlines.
- Must conduct his / her self in a professional manner.
- Must have superior problem solving skills to achieve a winwin solutions.
- ADP accounting software experience.
- Good organizational skills.
- The ability to communicate and work with suppliers.
- Strive for respect and teamwork within all departments.
- Able to utilize manufacturer and supplier websites.
