The Surrey School District ("Surrey Schools") fulfills its vision for learning on the traditional, ancestral, and unceded territory of the Katzie, Kwantlen, Semiahmoo, and other Coast Salish Peoples.

Surrey Schools' role as a school district on unceded territory means that in all their actions they must foreground their commitment to reconciliation with Indigenous peoples.

The Surrey School District is the largest in British Columbia with over 78,000 students, 13,000 employees, including more than 6,500 teachers, and an annual operating and capital budget of over $960 million.

Typically growing by approximately 1,000 students per year, Surrey Schools is dedicated to its vision for learning:

Reporting to the Superintendent/CEO, the new Assistant Superintendent will bring their expertise to the school district and to focus on efforts that support its position as central to the future of the community.

The Assistant Superintendent will provide inspirational and strategic leadership to students, staff, parents, and the community as the Board continues to follow a vision and strategy based on a commitment to continuous growth and development.
