Currently we are hiring Warehouse Lead (Parts) for our Edmonton Location.

The primary role of the Warehouse Lead is to provide support for overseeing the day-to-day operations of Big Rig Parts warehouse, satisfying inventory needs, performing order tracking and inventory control.

This role requires computer knowledge and the ability to interact with all levels of the organization to achieve department goals.


  • Understands Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
  • Research and resolve inventory related issues, provide feedback to reporting Managers
  • Participates in inventory control activities to include cycle counting.
  • Counts supplies in stock and posts totals to inventory records, manually or using computer (Excel, WMS)
  • Compares inventories to office records or computes figures from records to obtain current inventory
  • Assist in reconciling inventory discrepancies and followup with an investigation to determine the root cause of the discrepancies.
  • Maintain master list of locations with date of last cycle count
  • Establish and implement internal inventory audits and reports
  • Align objectives and projects between inventory control and other departments
  • Ability to operate heavy equipment machinery (Sit Down Forklift, Reach Forklift, order picker)
  • Monitor stock levels and request adjustments when needed to the accounting team; report to management any repeatedly adjusted products that go to clearance often.
  • File claims for damages and report to management on progress; handle returns when instructed
  • Monitor inventory turns and recommends bin changes where appropriate regarding safety, storage, and handling guidelines.
  • Coordinate with Material Handler for internal inventory adjustment requests between departments
  • Build reports for slowmoving and dead stock inventory, stockouts, and excess inventory
  • Perform daily, weekly, quarterly cycle counts, and year end audit to verify quantities, and resolve any discrepancies while prioritizing frequent counts on highvalue items

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent GED.
  • 3+ years of related experience is preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Experienced in a fastpaced, professional, warehouse driven team environment.
  • Excellent knowledge and understanding of warehouse processes and procedures preferred.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Ability to read and interpret safety rules, work procedures, technical instructions and technical references is a plus.
  • May spend extended periods of time standing in a distribution environment
  • Job will be performed in a warehouse environment that may be noisy, dirty, hot and/or cold.
  • Ability and availability to work irregular or extended hours including weekends holidays as needed
