_ We are looking for Labourers to join our team at our client site in the Winnipeg, MB area. This is a permanent position starting 12th Jun 2023. The position is local to Winnipeg, MB, but everyone is encouraged to apply, especially those willign to relocate_

What would you be doing?

  • Supporting the cleaning and maintenance of equipment, machinery, and corresponding site areas.
  • Transporting materials and equipment.
  • Dig trenches, and shovel snow, gravel, and other materials.
  • Cleaning off machinery at shops and client sites.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Does this sound like you?

  • 5+ years experience working in an industrial facility.
  • Currently enrolled in a Pipefitter Apprenticeship is an asset.
  • Valid and uptodate

Safety Tickets:
CSTS, Standard First Aid, TDG, WHMIS.

  • Physically fit with the ability to work long workdays.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Participate in activities which contribute to site safety and security, environmental protection, quality and business controls, in a manner consistent with the principals of operational excellence.
  • Comply with all health and safety regulatory legislation.
  • Participate in scheduled operations and safety meetings.
  • Comply with all control standards and procedures.
  • Conduct all site business with the mindset of safety and ensure 100% compliance with the documented operating and administrative procedures outlined in the PDM and participation in all elements of the Loss Prevention System.
  • Work with other Company departments as required, assisting with operational and maintenance activities.
  • Support the mandates of both the Product Quality and Supply groups for the purposes of maintaining superior product quality and efficient management and resolution of supply issues.
  • Manages and coordinates contractors and drivers with respect to safety, orientation, and compliance.
  • Must have own transportation to site.
  • Proficient in English, both written and verbal communication required.
  • Physically capable of performing all necessary duties of the job including but not limited to heavy pulling, pushing and lifting (up to 50 lbs), climbing, shoveling, bending, twisting, etc.

Perks of the job

  • Employee rate $28.00/hour.
  • Consisten Schedule, Monday to Friday, 8hrs/day.
  • Benefits after 300 hours of work.

  • This position has been identified as a safety sensitive position and will require completion of drug and alcohol testing._
