Job Description:


The Apprentice Production Operator is a great opportunity to get your foot in the door and begin growing your career in the glass manufacturing industry.

The role is responsible for observing production lines within the hot end, to ensure they are running smoothly and there are no impediments.

This is an important role within the production of glass.


The APO should have:


  • Mechanical aptitude
  • A desire to learn and grow within our industry
  • Be highly safety conscious

The APO will:


  • Monitor the controls to ensure the machines continue to operate effectively
  • Clear any jams that impede the production line
  • Inspect bottles for any defects
  • Working in extremely hot conditions with additional breaks provided.
  • Following strict safety protocols that ensure the safety of themselves and team members.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • At least 18 years of age
  • Must have previous manufacturing experience.
  • Able to work in extremely hot environment.
  • Must be able to work 12hour rotating shifts and overtime as required
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis
  • Able to work in a team environment
  • Must be authorized to work in Canada on a fulltime basis

Hourly Wage:
The hourly wage for this position is $26,74, with hot end premium.
