    Take the next step in your administrative career
Under the direction of the Unit Manager, the Program Assistant provides reception and clerical program support to the unit/program.

For up to twelve weeks per year, the Program Assistant will provide coverage for, and deliver substantially all of the service provided by the Unit Manager.

This will primarily include coverage for absences related to vacations, earned time off and sick days.

This position will be exposed to graphic photos and information surrounding death and requires the capacity to maintain strict confidentiality.


Job Requirements:


  • Secondary school graduation or equivalent.
  • Administrative/clerical experience working in an office environment;
    OR:
  • An equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook).

Preference may be given to applicants with:

  • Medical terminology experience.
  • A minimum of two years of administrative/clerical experience working in an office setting.
  • Office Administration Certification or equivalent related education.
  • Completion of a diploma in a related field.
  • Completion of a degree in a related field.
  • Experience with other relevant productivity software.

About this Position:

An eligibility list may be established for future temporary and/or permanent opportunities.

Flexible work options are available; this position may be able to work up to 3 days at home per week as per the Telework Agreement.
