has grown from dealing mostly in scrap metal and steel pipes, to a fully-fledged trading company that deals with different types of commodities from all over the world.

continues its importing, exporting, and trading business as we continue our unprecedented growth in the scrap, steel, pipe, and trading industries in North America, Europe, the Middle East, Southeast Asia, and beyond, we now need to hire more dynamic employees to join our team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Quote pricing for scrap metal bids to suppliers in a timely manner.
  • Accurately check the PO and/or Sales Contract versus the item descriptions, prices, payment terms, and shipping terms against what has been discussed.
  • Search for reliable North American suppliers of scrap metal we purchase through all means necessary, including cold calling, searching scrap databases, LinkedIn, onsite visits, industry events, etc.
  • Work the lead and do extensive due diligence to new suppliers to ensure future smooth and safe transactions with our company.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to potential and existing suppliers and find solutions to challenges to close deals.
  • Maintain good relationships with both old and new suppliers and visit them at their location as necessary (including travelling to other Canadian provinces and/or travelling to the U.S.A.).
  • Communicate and be responsive to local and international stakeholders' communications.
  • Coordinate and communicate with suppliers when there are issues that arise to resolve them.
  • Negotiate with suppliers to settle claims in a timely manner while preserving the relationship.
  • Coordinate with our colleague in China and Malaysia to clarify or resolve concerns.
  • Send weekly sales reports to the President.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Team player, organized, good time management, and ability to adhere to project deadlines.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to work in a team environment.
  • Valid drivers licence and reliable access to a vehicle.
  • Excellent problemsolving skills.
  • Be willing to travel to different provinces/countries in order to meet with potential/current suppliers.

Job Types:

From $50,000.00 per year
