Job Description:


As a
Design Co-op Student, you will be responsible for the development and preparation of engineering designs and drawings using Revit and BIM (Building Information Modeling) and ensuring that design drawings conform to specifications and design data.

Responsibilities will include the preparation and interpretation of engineering designs, drawings, and specifications for architectural, structural, electrical, and mechanical for modular building layouts to be used in manufacturing processes.


This role is for the upcoming Jan 2023 co-op term.

Your work will include:


  • Develop and prepare Revit designs and project specifications;
  • Develop and create production/shop drawings and specifications;
  • Provide technical assistance and input on new proposals and contracts;
  • Prepare proposal specifications and presentation documents in accordance with client and/or project requirements;
  • Knowledge of Structural, Mechanical and Electrical systems would be an asset.
  • Create design information with consideration for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to client specifications; ensuring compliance with applicable federal, provincial, and local regulations/standards;
  • Provide technical support to manufacturing facilities and field personnel;
  • Work with purchasing and vendors to source, review and specify equipment.
  • Review supplier developed and provided shop drawings for project design intent and compliance.

Qualifications:


WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

  • Currently enrolled in an Architectural or Engineering Degree or Building Technology Diploma program from an accredited postsecondary institution, specializing in Architectural studies
  • Ability to read and create building specifications and detailed construction drawings.
  • Knowledge of Revit, BIM, BOM are essential.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook etc.).
