Non-Destructive Examination (NDE) Inspector.

Qualifications:


  • Education: Minimum high school diploma, community college diploma or university bachelor's degree would be considered an asset.
o Red Seal in constructive or pipe trade considered an asset.

o NDE qualifications in VT, MPI, LPI or UT are desirable.

  • Experience: Trade or inspection experience in a shipbuilding or marine industry is desirable.
  • Previous NDE experience is desirable.
  • Strong working knowledge of MS Office suite, SharePoint, ability to independently learn to operate new technical software packages.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to negotiate and deal with conflict in a professional manner.
  • Ability to read and understand specifications and structural and outfit drawings.
  • All successful applicants must meet requirements for Canadian Controlled Goods Program (CGP), Canadian Government Security clearance, and U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR)._

Key Responsibilities:


  • Administration of the NDE requests and onsite management of NDE subcontractors and ensuring class review
  • Completing NDE inspections
  • Provision of feedback to production on NDE outcomes and next steps
  • Provision of SME on NDE
