The Opportunity:
Key Responsibilities:
- Designing, implementing, and maintaining SIEM and EDR systems to protect against cyber threats, with a focus on the Splunk and TrendMicro products
- Develop and maintain security operations policies, procedures, and guidelines relevant to Protected B
- Maintaining compliance to the related security standards and regulations
- Expert lead for identifying and resolving complex information systems and security issues
- Manage endtoend projects and programs as needed
- Collaborate with other teams to identify and address security risks in our systems
- Contribute to the internal security operations knowledge base to provide documentation for deploying, troubleshooting, and maintaining relevant security platforms
- Supplying support for audits and gathering of artifacts for Protected B, ISO27001, PCI, SOC1 & SOC2, and other compliance frameworks
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems or Systems Engineering or equivalent experience preferred.
- 5+ years in security engineering and supporting security tools
- Deep understanding of protected B and experience implementing it in a production environment with a focus on TrendMicro and Splunk
- Experience with secure systems design and threat modeling
- Experience with security compliance, incident response, and forensic activities
- Great analytical, troubleshooting, and problemsolving skills
- Resourceful in knowing how to research problems and find information on related topics
- Experience with cloud security (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Experience with UNIX and Windows operating systems
- Experience creating and refining KPI metrics to articulate and measure program performance
- Ability to work independently and efficiently, as well as with others, to meet deadlines in a fastpaced environment
- Selfmotivated and detailoriented
- Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Project management skills with the ability to plan, coordinate, and execute security projects are preferred but not required
- CISSP, CISA, CISM, SANS, or ISSMP certifications preferred
The location for the position is in any of the Canadian physical offices
