Position Overview:


Reporting to Manager, Procurement, and Inventory, the
Stores Person will be accountable for organizing, coordinating, and managing the accounting of aviation parts, tools, and equipment.

This role is crucial to maintaining optimal stocking levels for the organization's aircraft repair and maintenance plan.


Primary Job Functions:


The duties of the
Stores Person include:


  • Accepting requests for aviation parts, supplies, and equipment, and fulfilling orders or initiating purchase order requests as necessary
  • Controlling the release of inventory and tooling assets, ensuring the security and integrity of items within the stockroom
  • Processing, handling, issuing, and tracking of parts and materials used by the Maintenance Department, with delivery to the hangar floor or staging areas as required
  • Utilizing AMOS to enter and retrieve data, maintaining and updating various files, records, logs, reports, and inventory control sheets related to aircraft parts, tooling, and maintenance
  • Reviewing packing slips and vendor documentation on received parts, identifying, verifying, counting, and processing all incoming orders
  • Maintaining a basic knowledge of aircraft parts certification and traceability requirements
  • Identifying discrepancies and damaged materials, reporting them to the supervisor for corrective action, and completing and maintaining count sheets and other required reports during receipt
  • Preparing parts and materials for shipment to repair stations, vendors, or out bases by air and ground transport, ensuring proper packaging in accordance with TDG regulations if required, and maintaining tracking records for both inbound and outbound materials
  • Handling and storing hazardous materials in compliance with established policies, procedures, A-OSH, and relevant regulations
  • Performing general duties such as local parts runs, unloading trucks, operating forklifts and pallet jacks (and related equipment), placing and storing parts, and unpacking and packing parts
  • Assisting with the afterhours movement or receipt of Aircraft on Ground (AOG) parts as required.
  • Ensuring that safety precautions are observed on assigned activities while maintaining a clean and orderly work area
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications & Requirements:

Education:


  • High School or GED equivalent
  • Valid Canadian Driver's License

Experience:


  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience working in a general aviation or charter setting
  • Knowledge of aircraft parts and common hardware is essential
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Driver's Airside (D/A) license within six (6) months of employment
  • Complete and pass Transportation of Dangerous Goods and Quality Control (QC) training
  • Ability to work irregular hours or shift work that may include evenings, weekends, and holidays, with a schedule that varies
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as purchase orders, shipping, and receiving information
  • Must be able to lift 40lbs50lbs; heavy lifting is required
  • Training and/or experience in inventory management and purchasing is an asset
  • Intermediate level of proficiency using Microsoft Office Outlook, Word and Excel
  • Ability to travel occasionally

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid Restricted Area Identity Card (RAIC)
  • Clear criminal record check and satisfactory employment references
  • Must be legally eligible to work in Canada without restriction
