Hiring Unit:

  • Department of Microbiology and Immunology._

Position Summary:

  • Assists in performing laboratory test and experiment.
  • Catalogs laboratory material and or equipment.
  • Collects and enters data into established inventory databases.
  • Updates manuals/datasheets as required.
  • Distributes and tracks items, such as laboratory shipments.
  • A log to track these items may be required.
  • Maintains lab work area in a clean and orderly fashion.
  • Opens and secures the area daily.
  • Assist with waste disposal management of biohazards and end of life equipment.
  • Assist in ramping down research in the lab.
Other Qualifying Skills and/or Abilities

  • Knowledge of French and English:_


McGill University is an English-language university where day to day duties may require English communication both verbally and in writing.

The level of English required for this position has been assessed at a level # 4 (qualifier) on a scale of 0-4.
