Reporting to the Director, Digital Product and Channel, the Manager, Product Management Platform Services will manage the introduction and maintenance of new platform products, mainly in the Search and Payment sector across the organization.

The Manager is accountable for ensuring the introduction of the platform products meets the business requirements, services meet specifications, while achieving strategic, corporate and operating goals.

Furthermore, post installation, the evolution and development for the roadmap will also be your responsibility.


Responsibilities:

Below are the primary job requirements and responsibilities for the Manager, Product Management Platform Services:

  • Develop and maintain the product roadmaps for internal guidance and executive briefing to ensure the overall plan is aligned to the corporate and team objectives.
  • Work with the technology teams to ensure business requirements are met for any product related implementations on the Search and Payment products.
  • Utilize specific project methodology and be able to function at a high capacity in both Agile and Waterfall projects whilst performing Product Owner duties.
  • Works with all stakeholders including business, product, marketing and operational plans to support delivery of financial targets and strategic objectives.
  • Develop and manage the new product specifications and business cases for leadership and funding approval.
  • Develop and implement, with guidance from the Director of Product Management, annual objectives, strategies and plans for the product portfolio.

Job Responsibilities (continued):


  • Manage internal relationships and recommend changes, enhancements or solutions to products or marketing programs to increase revenue, strengthen delivery of Partner ROI, and/or maximize customer loyalty for the new products and features.
  • Develop and implement ongoing business reviews, to ensure delivery of targets and broader business objectives, including strategies to mitigate shortfalls and/or capture incremental opportunities.
  • Develop strong relationships with the Partners and fully understand their business, including the industry/environment in which they compete.
  • Recognize risks and opportunities based on customer insights, market scans, trends and analyses, and recommend appropriate business strategies.
  • Identify the need for, and facilitate the development of, new or modified products and our usability based on user feedback and product results, and/or to meet changing optimal operating conditions, review initiatives from other functions to ensure their acceptability from the point of view of product, and operational impacts, and incorporate approved changes into product plans.
  • Prepare product strategies as the primary input for the formulation of corporate strategies, and evaluate strategic options from a Digital perspective.

Qualifications:


Education

  • Completed postsecondary, preferably in a related field such as Marketing or Business Administration OR a combination of equivalent professional experience and training

Experience

  • 3 to 5 years of relevant functional experience
  • 2 or more years' experience managing people
  • One or more years of experience in a unionized environment an asset
  • Proficient computer skills and competent with Microsoft Office programs
  • Excellent team building and leadership skills and experience
  • Sound organizational, analytical, judgement and decisionmaking skills with proven abilities in problem solving
  • Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to build and maintain relationships
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
