Reporting to the Manager, Organizational Development, the Organizational Development (OD) Consultant provides a variety of OD related supports to leaders across Halton Healthcare with a focus on leadership development, career pathing and professional growth.

The OD Consultant collaborates with leaders and the internal OD Team to design and implement OD solutions that drive organizational effectiveness and leadership development initiatives.

This role is a key function to leadership development programming across Halton Healthcare.

Partnering with internal clients to evolve, grow and sustain performance improvement solutions and interventions that enhance the overall organizational effectiveness through leadership development.

The OD Consultant will build relationships across the organization to implement, promote and support initiatives that foster employee engagement, develop employee functioning and build organizational and team effectiveness.

This role will work within a team of OD professionals to collaborate, design and implement solutions in support of Halton Healthcare's Strategic Plan and participate in cross-functional and/or corporate-wide initiatives.


Position Profile:

Design and Development of Learning Solutions

  • Collaborate with internal partners including, but not limited to, Human Resources and leadership, conduct needs analysis to determine performance needs and propose solutions to meet desired outcomes.
  • Develop innovative and evidencebased solutions focusing on creating positive and effective work environments at department and program levels, with the ability to replicate across the organization.
  • Create learning solutions based on adult learning principles including, learning experiences, materials, design strategies, implementation and facilitation.
Program Initiatives

  • Support the identification, development and implementation of program and department level initiatives that align with the organization's strategic plan.
  • Partner with internal and external partners on ODrelated tactics that are part of significant initiatives with organizationwide implications including Performance Appraisals, Leadership Development, Patient Experience, Recognition and Employee Engagement programs, etc.
  • Develop, maintain and evaluate OD programs, both departmentlevel and organizationwide, including recognition programs, performance enhancement, succession planning, engagement strategies, change management, leadership and employee development programs.
  • Provide group facilitations to support program, department and organizationwide initiatives.
  • Monitor best practices and identify trends in the field of Organizational Development and Human Resources in healthcare and other industries by networking and joining associations, etc. and find opportunities to partner with and learn from healthcare and other leaders.
OD Metrics and Evaluation

  • Support the identification of metrics related to the implementation of OD programs and initiatives and ensure the collection and analysis of metrics to improve programs.
