FACILITIES SERVICES COORDINATOR

FACILITIES, FLEET, AND SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGEMENT

Reporting to the Manager, Facilities Operations and Maintenance, the Facilities Services Coordinator plays a critical role in the operation of the College, acting as the primary contact for facility users and managing a wide rage of requests including facility access, custodial oversight, waste diversion, and fleet maintenance.

Providing strong customer service, the Facilities Services Coordinator ensures the building and amenities meet College standards, continually looking for operational efficiencies and improvements.


HOW YOU'LL MAKE A DIFFERENCE- Provide oversight of campus custodial contract, including daily site inspections, to ensure compliance with college cleaning standards and contract requirements, monitoring and adjusting standards to meet stakeholder expectations.

  • Daily operational site inspections to ensure building systems and components are functioning properly and meeting college standards (e.g., doors, lighting, washrooms, temperature control). Submits workorders as required and followup on completion.
  • Lead smallerscale operational projects such as painting program and flooring replacement.
  • Oversight of campus operational signage to ensure compliance with college standards and branding. Recommend and oversee signage updates and refreshes.
  • Develop and maintain building standards and operations manuals, including hardware, carpet, paint, and lighting.
  • Collaborate with Timetabling to ensure room and building space optimization.
  • Act as a department expect of the computerized maintenance management system, including generating system reports and metrics, managing user accounts, and providing training.
  • Monitor and review work orders to ensure service expectations are met, spare parts inventory is updated with physical counts and storage locations, storage locations are clean, accessible, and accurately reflect inventory count.
  • Develop and deploy communications on the waste diversion program to increase awareness, reduce waste generated, and improve diversion rates, monitoring and reporting on metrics and performing audits and ad hoc inspections.
  • Research, review, and implement additional waste reduction and diversion opportunities including surplus furniture, scrap metal, food services, electronics, batteries, and office supplies.
  • Oversee space bookings including submitting, managing, and approving space requests, maintaining and publishing event booking spreadsheets.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for key and access request, entering data for access, issuing keys, maintaining appropriate levels of security.
  • Oversee campus fleet booking system, monthly vehicle inspection, reconciliation of fleet paperwork, and coordination of vehicle maintenance.

WHAT YOU BRING

  • Certificate in Business or Administration, diploma preferred.
  • Facility industry accreditation (IFMA, BOMI, LEED) is an asset.
  • 2+ years' of experience in a fastpaced customerfocused environment, ideally in a postsecondary environment, facilities management, or property management coordination.

SALARY:
$53,230 - $69,156 reflective upon what you bring AKA your education and experience. This is a full-time permanent position with the Alberta Union of Provincial Employees (AUPE) and includes immediate access to our great pension and benefits programs.


This position will require a strong on-campus presence on a regular basis.
