Print Production Specialist - let's talk

The Print Production Specialist is a part of our dedicated Print Production team which is responsible for the printing of all CAAT communication documents (i.e annual statements, merger notices, regular member communication letters, presentation materials etc).

This role is part of a team of professionals in the Office


We are looking for someone with:

  • College certificate or diploma in Business of Graphic Design preferred.
  • 3+ years' experience in progressive print production.
  • Selfmotived and organized; the ability to multitask, problemsolve, establish priorities, selfdirected, high attention to detail and the ability to successfully process a high volume of work.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and takes pride in delivering excellent client service.
  • Technical experience with operation of machines with digital frontend and multifunction production & mailing equipment (Xerox digital press which includes using the Fiery System and Fiery Compose software, Pitney Bowes inserter, Pitney Bowes mailing machine and professional paper cutter).

Once here you will:


  • Liaise clearly and effectively with internal and external stakeholders, including all levels of internal departments on a variety of projects including printing tasks and outsourced projects
  • Manipulate design files using a print workflow software (PlanetPress).
  • Interpret stakeholder print requirements and manage requests from beginning to completion (including, setting up printing layout and proofs, processing, finishing and clarification of discrepancies).
  • Recommend creative, proactive, and best solutions for inhouse printing requests.
  • Manage the print production schedule in order to coordinate, track and prioritize projects deliverables to meet tight deadlines.
  • Maintain and manage all print production equipment and corporate printers and supplies.
  • Assist the Office Services group with office administration tasks as may be required.
  • Assist with the maintenance of contract renewals for the various contract agreements and recommending alternate service providers as needed.
  • Maintain print production metrics reporting and prepare cost analyses for annual budget.
