Job Title:
Payroll and Benefits Specialist


Location:
London, ON (On-site)


Responsibilities:

Reporting to our Manager, Payroll and Benefits, you will ensure employees are paid accurately and on time. You will support the Human Resources teams and employees across the Company with benefit, pension and HRIS administration.


Specifically, you will focus on:

Payroll, e.g. administer and process payroll for assigned Companies, act as back up to Senior Manager, Payroll, Benefits and HR Administration, maintain payroll related data files, maintain knowledge of and comply with payroll legislative requirements, ensure bi-weekly payroll summary packages are prepared and distributed to finance departments, etc.

Benefits, e.g. process employee changes, verify and support the calculation of monthly benefit insurance premium statements, ensure employee benefit inquiries are handled in a timely and accurate manner, ensure benefit cost centers changes are communicated to insurance provider(s), understanding and compliance for while-on-leave processes, ensure disability leave sponsor statements are provided to insurance provider(s), etc.

Pension, e.g. ensure accurate pension enrolments by reviewing forms ahead of submission, pension administration, process employee pension contributions in the HRIS, reconciliation of bi-weekly contribution files, pension AGM preparation and execution, etc.

Communication, e.g. clear and concise communications with both external and internal customers, participation in communication meetings with Human Resources

Administration, e.g. ensure payroll related reports are accurately created for the Senior Manager, Payroll, Benefits and HR Administration and Human Resources and Finance departments in


Salary:
$70,000.00-$80,000.00 per year


Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday

Education:


  • Bachelor's Degree (preferred)

Experience:

- payroll and benefit administration: 7 years (required)


Licence/Certification:

  • Certified Payroll Manager (CPM) (preferred)
