About Us:


The Opportunity:


Under Sunwing Vacations, We are currently looking for a Social Media Intern to join us in making vacation dreams come true.

As the Social Media Intern, you will be responsible for supporting the Social Media Specialists in generating compelling and shareable content across the social channels of Sunwing Vacations Group.

You will support all social media activations and track performance. The Social Media Intern must be a skilled social media generalist with a creative eye for detail. The position reports to the Senior Manager, Social Media and will be located in Toronto, ON.


What You'll Do:


  • Support Social Media Specialists to grow our brand presence on social media through creation of engaging social content in line with the overarching marketing strategy of the Sunwing Vacations Group
  • Create social media content that support brand, marketing campaigns, business goals, communications and sales priorities
  • Maintain monthly social media content calendar for the Group's social accounts including Sunwing Vacations, SellOffVacations and Sunwing Weddings
  • Schedule content in social media management platform, Emplifi for optimal timing and engagement
  • Create engaging content for Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest and YouTube. Including scripting, captions for social channels.
  • Tracks performance of social media campaign content leveraging UTM tracking ids and creating reports using social media management platform, Emplifi.
  • Stay on top of current social trends, new features and competitor landscape
  • Acts as support for all platforms and tools needed for social media team
  • Create and administer social media contests
  • Completes reports, analyzes data, delivers POPs for numerous activations
  • Supports activations and events in person by taking photos and videos and offering onsite support
  • Organizes CrowdRiff database
  • Creates Monthly POP (Proof of Post) reports
  • Creates social shot lists for communications team members travelling to destination for business, posts on their behalf across the Group's social accounts

What You'll Need:


  • Currently enrolled in a diploma or degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Communications or Business Administration coop program.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Oganized and practice effective time management
  • Able to work in fast paced environment with a sense of urgency
  • Content creation background is an asset
  • French is an asset
  • Graphic design experience is a plus (Photoshop, Lightroom, Canva, CapCut, etc.)
