Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Superintendent is responsible to ensure that projects are completed on schedule in compliance with the contracts and the job cost estimates and all the work is completed safely to acceptable standards of quality and workmanship.

The Superintendent is also responsible for the management of day to day operations in the yard.


What You'll Do Here:


  • Supervise and lead the team leaders, foremen and crews toward goals and objectives.
  • Move materials and equipment to and from job sites.
  • Handle and distribute construction materials (e.g. load and unload vehicles with supplies, equipment, and construction materials; move tools, equipment, and construction materials to and from work areas)
  • Conduct all Fiber Optic quality checks, and identify areas of concern. As a team have a goal to correct onsite issues.
  • Manage and maintain relationships with subcontractors.
  • Support Operations Managers on the daytoday activities of the project.
  • Manage the overall team progression.
  • Read and assess project plans.
  • Able to perform in a fastpaced environment.
  • Adapt to continuously changing work tasks.
  • Able to lift and work with materials weighing up to 25kg.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as required.
  • Liaise with clients to resolve and clear issues and problems on a daily basis.
  • Recommend best practices to complete tasks at hand in most cost effective and safe manner.
  • Actively participate in the JHSC meeting as management representative.

What You Bring to the Team:

  • Must have previous splicing experience.
  • Previous experience of supervising or managing construction crews is a strong asset.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work well as a team.
  • Selfmotivated with strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to work accurately in a fastpaced environment.
  • Manual dexterity.
  • Ability to work long hours in all weather conditions and environments.
  • Valid driver's license.
