The GO Expansion scope :
new electric locomotives, fleet upgrades, train control systems, network electrification, signalling, telecommunications and digital systems, maintenance, and much more.
Alstom is seeking a Deputy Electrification Project Manager. This individual will be responsible to support the Head of Electrification for the project.Responsibilities:
Manage interfaces at project-level team members & internal stakeholders/partners through several specific tasks:
- Coordination between design needs/sourcing needs and project targets, including business cases preparation,
- Risks coordination, from risks identification, regular risk register update and coordination of all mitigation actions,
- Requirements coordination, including requirements capture, allocated and rejected requirements management until requirements closure at each project stage (V&V activities),
- Definition of Design production KPIs + other reporting KPIs including regular update and root cause analysis in coordination with other internal stakeholders (planning, design teams, etc),
- Modifications management, from identification to impact assessment until implementation across Electrification subsystems,
- DFQ process preparation and coordination with internal stakeholders (design, safety, cybersecurity, subsystem),
- Propose and implement collaborative actions across Electrification teams, including new way of working with remote teams and strengthened communication within the teams.
- Coordination of target price definition with relevant stakeholder.
Reporting
This position will report to the Head of Electrification.
- Engineering: Onshore, offshore Engineering teams and Transverse Engineering team
- Construction : POS and OCS Construction teams
- Project: Electrification, System and other subsystems management teams
- Customer, Consultants, External stakeholders
- Civil Works, Track works and O&M partners
- Interfacing subsystems (Rolling Stock, Trackworks, Signalling, Civil works)
- Regional Centers and Central platforms
- Ontime delivery: 100%,
- Compliance to Site works
- Respect of Design For Quality (DFQ) milestones: 100% Go On Time, in accordance with the standards or rules of his Metier,
- Respect of performances of the system provided: 100%.
Mandatory:
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Civil Engineering
Desirable:
- Professional Engineer designation as per Canadian regulations or in progress
- Master's Degree in Business Administration and/ or
- Master's Degree in Engineering or Project Management
- Minimum of 34 years of experience in coordination and management of Electrification projects
- Demonstrated experience and knowledge of Railway Operations, systems, maintenance and/or construction projects
- Good knowledge of OCS works
- First knowledge of Power Supply environment and interfaces with Catenary System
- Strong knowledge of Canada standards and common practices
- Autonomy, Result and Solution oriented, motivated and interested in innovative construction methodology topics
- Fluent in English, second language appreciated
