The Ministry of Water, Land and Resource Stewardship is accountable for integrated water, land and natural resource management and cross-sector legislation, policy, and objective setting for land and marine environments.

Building on integrated land and resource management efforts in the past, the Ministry will seek to build a new vision in collaboration with natural resource ministries and First Nations that will embrace shared decision making on the land base.

Within the Ministry's Land Use Policy, Planning and Ecosystem's Division, the Wildlife, Habitat and Species Recovery Branch ('Branch') is responsible for the Together for Wildlife Strategy, habitat management and conservation, and species at risk recovery, inclusive of the Provincial Caribou Recovery Program.


Job Requirements:


  • Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or equivalent and two (2) years of related experience; or
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Natural Resource Management and three (3) years communicationsrelated experience.
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may also be considered, such as a related diploma or certificate and five (5) years *related experience.
  • Related experience includes:
  • Managing multiple projects.
  • Working with project teams.
  • Public relations, corporate communications, or media relations in a large organization.
  • Using general communications principles, concepts and methodologies including issues management, media relations and media production.
  • Involvement in planning or conducting a formal and informal consultation processes.
  • A combination of communications and natural resource management education and experience.
