Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team.
As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the proper functioning and maintenance of our facilities and equipment.

Duties:
- Conduct basic general building repairs on the company or building's equipment such as heating and cooling systems, plumbing systems, or electrical systems to ensure good working order;
- Conduct basic upkeep of outside grounds;
- Ensure proper performance and operation of machinery and mechanical equipment for production;
- Ensure the future operations of machines and equipment, take the necessary steps to prevent potential issues;
- Perform machine safety reviews and implement corrections for deficiencies;
- Assess maintenance procedures and make recommendations for improvement;
- Main contact of contractors for outsourced repairs and services which includes but not limited to HVAC, shop air compressor, electrical work, fire alarm system, landscape maintenance;
- Support outside contractors when larger repairs are required;
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair work;
- Survey buildings and repair mechanical systems to ensure they are consistent with health and safety standards. (In conjunction with ATPI Safety Coordinator and H&S Committee);
- Assist on new product launches, commissioning new production equipment, installation and setup of new and existing equipment;
- Support the daily operations of production employees;
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Certifications in related maintenance areas is an asset
- Proven experience as maintenance technician.
- Basic painting, carpentry and fabrication skills
- Basic understanding of HVAC, electrical, hydraulic, plumbing and other systems.
- Ability to read and comprehend equipment manuals, diagrams, electrical schematics and drawings to troubleshoot and repair problems.
- Knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods.
- Working knowledge of tools, common appliances and devices.
- Soldering and welding capabilities.
- PLC or other machine programming fluency would be considered an asset.
- Skilled in the use of computer and internet
- Valid Class 5 driver's license.
