Reporting to the Manager, Risk Management, the Analyst helps improve Post-Trade risk management and governance practices to ensure that CDCC/CDS maintains high risk management standards in compliance with CPSS-IOSCO Principles for Financial Market Infrastructure (PFMIs).
Drawing on their expertise, the Analyst finds practical solutions to complex quantitative problems by focusing on the relevant risk factors that reflect the risk profile of the clearinghouse's cleared instruments.
The Analyst also contributes actively to the development and optimization of CDCC/CDS market, credit and liquidity risk tools.Key Accountabilities
Update and tracks risk parameters
Conduct qualitative and quantitative analysis on market, liquidity and credit risks
Produce various risk reports for Post-Trade management and Board of Directors
Contribute to the risk analysis of new products or initiatives and assess the impact of these on Post-Trade risk processes and measures
Help develop new risk management processes and tools
Optimize current risk management processes and ensure that effective controls are in place
Participate in working groups with different stakeholders
Collaborate in Information Technology projects that relate to risk management
Skills & Experience
A Bachelor/Master's degree in finance, financial engineering, statistics, computer science or the equivalent
1 to 3 years of relevant experience
Ability to utilize Structured Query Language (SQL) to work with relational database systems
Relevant risk management experience in fixed income, structured products or derivatives preferred
Advanced programming experience in at least one of the following languages: MATLAB, Python, R
Good analytical skills with strong attention to detail
Self-starter who is proactive and capable of working independently
Strong interpersonal skills and work well in a team environment
Possess expert written and oral communication skills
Ability to reflect, summarize, and present complex ideas
Bilingual, French and English (oral and written) - Preferred
Nice to have(s):
Matlab programming experience
VBA programming experience
Working towards FRM (Financial Risk Manager from GARP) or/and PRM (Professional Risk Manager from PRMIA)
Enrolment in CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) program
Bloomberg experience

This role is required to know a language other than French as TMX is an international organization with operations across the globe and its clients, shareholders, competitors, stakeholders, regulators and employees communicate in English.
