SALARY:
$ $22.52 per hour + 12% in lieu of all


benefits and vacation (2021 rates)
The City of New Westminster requires dynamic and energetic auxiliary Youth Leaders to work in the
Youth Services Division of the Parks and Recreation Department. You will work closely with the Youth
Services Assistant Program Coordinators, encouraging youth to be active and social in the community
by working at youth drop-in programs, out trips and special events.


If you have some of the following characteristics and qualifications, we want to hear from you:
You have completed courses in Community Recreation, Child and Youth Care, Social Services or a
related field.

You have experience engaging with youth aged in a recreation environment.
You possess strong leadership skills with the ability to be an effective team player.
You have the ability to handle diverse situations with youth from a variety of backgrounds.
You have a valid First Aid Level 1 certificate.
Valid Class 4 BC Driver's License and Supervisory experience are assets.
You will be required to pass and maintain a clear Police Information Check.
You have the ability to work a minimum of 10-15 hours per week.
