Qualifications:


  • Minimum Grade 12 academic or equivalent
  • Two to three years of food service work experience in longterm health care, hospital, hotel, or restaurant facility.
  • Completion of any of the following
    :Basic Food Safety Certification, Food Service Workers Course or equivalent, Basic Food Preparation or equivalent:
  • Experience working with the elderly within a decentralized meal service environment that provided the basic principles and concepts used in all functional areas of a food service operation.
  • Knowledge of food safety, safe food handling, and cleaning and sanitizing practices.
  • Must be able to prioritize work, follow oral/written instructions, and maintain established resident/client service standards.
  • Must be of sound physical wellbeing (able to lift 50 lbs at a time), in good general health, and able to endure the daytoday pressures of the position.
  • Must be able to maintain regular and consistent attendance by the Northwood corporate standard.

Salary / Benefits:
As per NSGEU Collective Agreement


Hours of Work: 32 hours bi-weekly(8 hours shifts) - Days/Evenings: 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
