Our
Saskatoon Hauling district has an immediate opening for a
Maintenance Supervisor to lead a team that includes several journeyperson technicians and apprentices.

The Maintenance Supervisor will have about 10-15 Employees under their supervision.

Previous experience leading a team is preferred.

Position Summary:

Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for managing the district's maintenance personnel. The Maintenance Supervisor ensures that equipment and facilities are maintained properly and safely by the maintenance team. This role is a leadership position in our collections business unit. The key responsibilities will be to ensure that safety, compliance, customer service, efficiency, and productivity targets are met consistently.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Ensures that maintenance staff complete daily safety checks and repair work orders in a timely and accurate fashion.
Coordinates with Operations to ensure fleet and equipment uptime is maximized without compromising anything related to safety.
Plans and monitors employee schedules including regular communication throughout the day until all shifts are completed.
Performance Management of employees through coaching and progressive discipline process.
Conducts daily field inspections and audits of all site personnel and facilities to ensure proper work procedures.
Visits customers and customer sites to evaluate and resolve safety issues, seeking service alternatives where appropriate.

Preferred Qualifications:

3 or more years of managing in a peopledriven environment.
Journeyperson Heavy Duty Mechanic, or equivalent experience.
Knowledge of OH&S and DOT guidelines.
Knowledge in using Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
Must be detailoriented, highly accountable, and able to prioritize tasks.
Minimum Class #3A Commercial Driver's License.

As a condition of employment, all new employees to safety sensitive positions must successfully pass a substance test within a two-week period of their hiring date.
