Saskatoon Hauling district has an immediate opening for a
Maintenance Supervisor to lead a team that includes several journeyperson technicians and apprentices.

Position Summary:
Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for managing the district's maintenance personnel. The Maintenance Supervisor ensures that equipment and facilities are maintained properly and safely by the maintenance team. This role is a leadership position in our collections business unit. The key responsibilities will be to ensure that safety, compliance, customer service, efficiency, and productivity targets are met consistently.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensures that maintenance staff complete daily safety checks and repair work orders in a timely and accurate fashion.
- Coordinates with Operations to ensure fleet and equipment uptime is maximized without compromising anything related to safety.
- Plans and monitors employee schedules including regular communication throughout the day until all shifts are completed.
- Performance Management of employees through coaching and progressive discipline process.
- Conducts daily field inspections and audits of all site personnel and facilities to ensure proper work procedures.
- Visits customers and customer sites to evaluate and resolve safety issues, seeking service alternatives where appropriate.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 3 or more years of managing in a peopledriven environment.
- Journeyperson Heavy Duty Mechanic, or equivalent experience.
- Knowledge of OH&S and DOT guidelines.
- Knowledge in using Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Must be detailoriented, highly accountable, and able to prioritize tasks.
- Minimum Class #3A Commercial Driver's License.
As a condition of employment, all new employees to safety sensitive positions must successfully pass a substance test within a two-week period of their hiring date.
