About the role
We are looking for an Analyst Travel Underwriting and Portfolio Management to join our growing team


What you'll do here:


  • Support the Travel Underwriting and Portfolio Management Team in delivering the growth and profitability strategy for the products within the Travel and Embedded Credit Card portfolio.
  • Support Product Managers through the product development cycle with drafting, review, and translation support.
  • Support the execution of underwriting decisions through the issuance of amendments, endorsements and other guidance received from the Product Manager.
  • Drafting/updating of insurance documents under the guidance of the Product Managers, review of drafts in flight with other stakeholders (client and/or legal review) for accuracy.
  • Supports preparing documents and sending for translation, supporting translation where possible, and reviewing translation (English to French or French to English) for accuracy.
  • Support with review/interpretation of marketing insight.
  • Preparing and updating presentations for client meetings and presentations (internal and external)
  • Compiles insight and responses from various stakeholders in the preparation of responses to RFPs (Request for Proposals)
  • Collaborate with the corporate underwriting team to support the execution and implementation of rule and/or coverage changes to internal and external teams.
  • Provides technical interpretation to Claims and Operations team for basic enquiries, escalating to Product Managers and/or leadership as required.
  • Help ensure internal and external business partners have a sound understanding of our rules and procedures.
  • Serve as technical referral resource to Travel Operations managers and underwriters.
  • Provide technical underwriting support, and assistance to underwriters, agents, and other staff on an ongoing basis, including supporting the development, updating and review of training materials.

What you bring to the table:

  • College diploma, Bachelor of Business Administration, or any combination of equivalent education and experience
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience
  • Bilingual (English/French). Need to interact on a regular basis with an Englishspeaking clientele and colleagues across the country
  • Underwriting knowledge/judgment
  • Knowledge of rating, products, and coverages.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Works well in a team environment.
  • Presentation and communication skills
  • Able to review and analyze statistical reports, make recommendations.
  • Must be able to interpret policy wording and legal documents.
