Description

As a web development specialist, you will be primarily responsible for editing site content, installing security updates, addressing any bugs or website-related concerns, building new pages and site sections based off of marketing and UX/UI design specs and requirements, monitoring and optimizing web performance and eliminating technical debt.


Responsibilities:


  • Evaluate and manage technical site performance and present opportunities for continuous improvement
  • Support the website marketing manager in maintaining and updating marketing pages
  • Respond to and troubleshoot all website issues
  • Ensure that the website is protected by enabling the appropriate security measures
  • Update HTML, CSS and JavaScript regularly
  • Ensure full compliance on the website with all laws and regulations.
  • Keep uptodate with industry best practices and monitor competitor websites.

Experience:


  • Minimum of 23 years of experience in web operations within the Software industry
  • College Diploma/Certificate in Web development

Competency Requirements:


  • Understand different web technologies and the ability to pick up new ones
  • Understanding of the entire web development process, including design, development, and deployment
  • Proven work experience as a WrodPress developer
  • Knowledge of frontend technologies including CSS3, JavaSCript, HTML5, and jQuery
  • Proficient understanding of code and versioning tools such as Git
  • Familiarity with MySQL databases and their declarative query language
  • Experience with responsive and adaptive design
  • Must be able to work under constant deadline pressure and manage multiple projects across multiple lines of business
  • A passion for owning tactical execution of tasks end to end
  • Experience in using request tools such as Wrike and JIRA
  • A deep understanding of the Agile methodology
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
